While stunning in the eye-catching archival dress by Filipino fashion designer Rajo Laurel, Miss Universe Philippines 4th runner-up Christi McGarry took the time to recognize the designers and creative team behind her show-stopping looks during the competition.
In a post shared with her fans, the beauty queen thanked Filipino fashion designers Laurel, Mark Bumgarner, Anthony Ramirez, Bonita Penaranda, Martin Bautista, Boom Sason, Jaz Cerezo, Patty Ang, Randy Ortiz, and Axel Que, who designed the pieces she wore for the competition.
“I want to thank all of the amazing designers and friends who have openly supported me along this journey. I am the luckiest girl to have access to these inspiring icons and highly respected giants in the field, and I will always proudly support and promote local designers and creatives wherever I go,” said McGarry.
She emphasized her intention of uplifting local talents such as designers, photographers, videographers, stylists, and hair and makeup artists during her time at the esteemed competition and thanked those who had been with her throughout.
“We literally have the best homegrown talent, and [I] just want the world to know it,” said McGarry.
McGarry represented Taguig in Miss Universe Philippines 2024.
