Darren Espanto capped off his decade in the entertainment industry with an anniversary concert on Saturday, June 1, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
During the concert, Darren shared that it was a dream come true for him to perform inside the Big Dome.
“Alam niyo po, I’ve performed a lot of times in this iconic and historic venue. Pero first time kong mag-solo concert dito. And perfect timing po talaga because I’m celebrating my 10th anniversary as well at showbiz,” said Darren.
“At saka, surreal po talaga yung pakiramdam eh talagang andito na ako. Like, the younger Darren would have never known that he would be performing in this Coliseum for his 10th year at showbiz. So, thank you so much. Maraming salamat,” he added.
He then expressed his gratitude towards his fans who had continued to support him since he first took the stage of “The Voice Kids Philippines”.
“And I’m just so glad that I got to build that confidence in myself and I never backed down. Kaya naman, I’m here celebrating my 10 wonderful years in showbiz with all of you. You’ve seen me grow up and you still believe in me and in what I can do. Kaya naging posible po itong D-10,” the singer-actor continued.
The concert showcased Darren’s growth as a performer, from his early days in “The Voice Kids” to becoming “the best male performer” of his generation. Darren also delivered powerful vocals and showcased his impressive stage presence throughout the show alongside guests such as Lyca Gairanod, Erik Santos, Ogie Alcasid, Gary Valenciano, Sarah Geronimo, and Vice Ganda.
