Content creator faces backlash after posting ‘hate comment’ against SB19’s Stell

Content creator Stella Salle has come under fire after posting a “hateful comment” directed at P-pop group SB19 member Stell. The comment, which has since been deleted, was reportedly a vicious attack on Stell’s appearance.

Stella’s actions sparked outrage among SB19’s massive fanbase, collectively known as A’Tin. Fans flooded social media with criticism, accusing Salle of bullying and demanding accountability. Many took to social media to express their disappointment in her actions, with some calling out a brand that she endorses.

Following her “face-shaming” remarks against Stell, local makeup brand Colourette Cosmetics CEO Nina Ellaine Dizon announced on her X account that they were severing ties with Stella, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to self-love and empowerment.

“Having faced public scrutiny for my appearance, I have always championed self-love and empowerment. These values are core to our beauty brands. Due to recent events with one of our ambassadors, Colourette takes a firm stance against bullying and shaming, and we are disengaging from Stella. As brands that have embraced inclusivity since day one, Colourette and Fresh Formula believe in celebrating everyone’s beauty in all ways, always,” Nina wrote.

On Saturday, May 25, Stella issued a public apology after Colourette released its statement.

“Gusto ko pong humingi ng paumanhin direkta mismo kay Stell ng SB19 at sa mga taong nasaktan ko dahil sa aking mga pahayag,” said Stella.
