The Filipino-Chinese Amity Club attended the 135th Canton Fair in Guangzhou, China from April 14 to 17, 2024.
Chairman Cai Chang Yu led the delegation of 50 representatives from the association and its branches across the Philippines, with Chen Wen Hui serving as the honorary leader.
Vice chairman Penita Ong, Cai Ming Feng, Li Jia Qing, Zhang Nian Xi and Xu Rui En were also present un the event.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Vice Chairman Xie Hui Rong and all the leaders of the Guangdong Overseas Chinese Federation for their warm reception and guidance during past Canton Fair activities. Their continuous support and care for our association are deeply appreciated by all members. Fostering friendship between China and the Philippines, advancing economic and trade exchanges, and promoting cultural interaction are paramount objectives for our association.” Cai said.
The first phase of the exhibition showcased a wide spectrum of industries, including electrical appliances, electronic consumer goods and information products, industrial automation, intelligent manufacturing, processing machinery, power equipment and general machinery.
The exhibition highlighted innovations in engineering and agricultural machineries, new materials and chemical products.
Attendees were treated to displays of new energy vehicles, smart travel solutions, vehicles, auto parts, motorcycles, bicycles, lighting products, electronic and electrical goods as well as hardware and tools.
The 135th Canton Fair revealed an enhanced exhibition structure, improved exhibitor quality, a plethora of new products and diverse conference activities.
The upgrades aimed to enhance the participation experience for global buyers and foster international trade, promoting quality development and building an international cooperation platform.
Filipino-Chinese Amity Club also visited the Guangdong Federation of Overseas Chinese.
The association was praised by the central leaders at the 100th Canton Fair and won the “Group Honor Award”.
Cai also announced plans for a grand celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the Filipino-Chinese Amity Club’s establishment.
The inauguration ceremony for the 2024-2026 directors will take place at the East Ocean Palace Restaurant on Nov. 17, 2024.
