The Kankanaey tribe of Mt. Province celebrates “Lang-Ay” which is largely an invitation to families, friends, and guests to partake of their thanksgiving for good harvest, weddings, and child birth, highlighted by dances, music, and games. Villagers from Mt. Province’s 10 municipalities gather round at the capital town of Bontoc for the revelry, clad in their colourful indigenous attires for the merry-making to the tune of traditional instruments such as bronze gongs and solibao drums.
