The Philippines’ fastest growing bank and leading digital challenger bank Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) announced that it will be recognizing partner merchants that have generated the largest number of transaction volume in their respective communities and provinces for RCBC ATM Go, the country’s first and largest network of grassroots-oriented and bank-agnostic mobile-point-of-service ATM network.
RCBC will be honoring its Luzon partner merchants on April 1, 2024, Visayas partner merchants on April 3, 2024, and Mindanao partner merchants on April 5, 2024. After crowning its top merchants in the respective provinces, the top partner merchants nationwide will be taking the limelight in Marquis Events Place in Taguig City on April 12, 2024. These nationwide events are supported by the bank’s partners – Malayan Insurance, RCBC Telemoney, and RCBC Credit Cards, Personal Loans, and Payment Solutions with its wide array of Digital Loan Products – RCBC Payday NOW, RCBC Salary Loan NOW and RCBC Personal Digital Loan.
The events are also expected to gather hundreds of partner merchants nationwide as well as an opportunity for RCBC to showcase its next set of digital banking solutions and services. The award ceremonies are part of the bank’s continuous effort to empower and highlight the power and role of rural and remote entrepreneurs, banks, microfinance institutions, and other entities in making financial inclusion accessible.
RCBC ATM Go enables people to withdraw and deposit cash, make bank transfers, manage bank accounts, pay bills, claim government welfare and pension, and receive remittances. The digital banking solution is being developed to become capable of recognizing internationally registered Mastercard and Visa Cards, accept loan applications and disburse loan amounts, and recognize applications for bank accounts.
The Executive Vice President and Chief Innovations and Inclusion Officer of RCBC expressed his excitement for the event and his gratitude for the undying support that the partner merchants have extended in the recent years. Villanueva added that a pillar of the bank’s unstoppable ascent to the top nationwide and globally is held by partner merchants residing in rural and remote areas of the country.
“The event is an opportunity for us to give the national stage to all our partner merchants who have been with us since day one of our quest to make financial inclusion possible for all Filipinos. By gathering together, we will feel the warmth, the strength, and the passion that Filipinos share when it comes to building our nation and creating paths towards a truly digital future,” Villanueva said.
“Our partner merchants are our number one advocates in remote and rural areas. Financial literacy in previously underbanked and unbanked areas will continue to be high if not for the diligence and commitment of our partner merchants. They are our secret weapon to why RCBC is the No. 1 digital challenger and the fastest growing bank in the country,” Villanueva added.
RCBC ATM Go grew at a massive scale covering all provinces and cities in the country, boasting a 100% nationwide coverage rate. The digital service is also available in 81% of municipalities. The bank has declared its commitment to continue its aggressive approach in bringing the digital banking solution to all corners of the country.
