The Department of Labor Employment (DOLE) in Bicol is grieving the sudden demise of its regional director, Ma. Zenaida Angara-Campita, who served the organization for 39 years.
DOLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma signed a statement, expressing his condolences on behalf of the agency to the loved ones of Angara-Campita, fondly called by many as “Zen.”
“Ang inyong Kalihim pati ang mga kawani ng buong Kagawaran ay taos pusong nakikisimpatiya sa kanyang mga naiwan (Your Secretary and the entire department are extending our heartfelt sympathies to those she left behind),” Laguesma said.
DOLE-Bicol announced the news on Monday, March 25. Angara-Campita reportedly died of a heart attack due to heat stroke while she was on vacation in Romblon together with her husband and friends.
“Director Zen served with dedication and unwavering commitment, leaving an indelible mark in the Department of Labor and Employment -DOLE Bicol,” said Johanna Gasga, DOLE Bicol’s Public Information Officer.
Laguesma thanked Angara-Campita for her leadership, noting that the people who worked with her would definitely remember her for her services and the good things she has done for the organization.
