British musical comedy “SIX” will be staged for a limited time in the Philippines around October.
GMG Productions, the theater company responsible for bringing other hit musicals in the country such as “The Sound of Music,” “Hamilton,” and “Miss Saigon,” has announced that “SIX” will be staged at the Theater at Solaire from Oct .1 to 20.
Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, “SIX” revolves around the story of the six wives of King Henry VIII namely, Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr. The musical focuses on the retelling of the queens’ respective relationships with the king from their perspective as they determine who suffered the most out of all of them.
Following its debut in 2017, the musical has been met with critical acclaim and has garnered multiple accolades including 2 Tony Awards and a Grammy nomination as it has toured the United States, Canada, Australia, and South Korea.

While details regarding ticket prices have yet to be announced, the production company said that there will be a waitlist for the show, which will run from March 10 until April 12. The Pre-sale period will run from April 15-17 and tickets will be available on April 19 through TicketWorld.
