Experience the richness of local artistry and support Filipino creativity and social entrepreneurship
Kultura’s Filipino Design Studio is back for its fourth edition. The pop-up event aims to celebrate and support local talents by offering a platform for established and emerging brands to showcase their new collections.
In celebration of Filipino craftsmanship and social entrepreneurship, the Filipino Design Studio is hosting guest brands, social enterprises, and Kultura’s house labels. The event will offer a wide array of products spanning handmade apparel and accessories, home decor, and natural remedies.
Emphasizing the modern Filipino lifestyle and a commitment to social responsibility, this season’s showcase also brings together brands dedicated to empowering vulnerable populations, supporting underserved communities, and championing sustainable practices.
Among the standout participants is Dwellbeing, a social enterprise and personal care brand that not only employs members of the deaf community but also champions eco-consciousness through the use of upcycled packaging. Also featured is The Brave Story, which specializes in slow, sustainable fashion, and Woven, showcasing handmade laptop sleeves crafted by artisans using traditional Filipino weaving techniques.
Opening just in time for summer, the two-week affair will introduce new collaborations with Kultura, featuring statement jewelry from Strozzi and Piesa, resort wear and modern Filipiniana from Seek The Uniq, Pina-Sadya, and Bagoyan, as well as nature-based personal care products from Pure Culture and Dwellbeing, and stylish slip-ons from Jhaz Footwear.
For summer-ready accessories, there are Anmari, Ash & Muff, Boho Manila, Casa Mercedes, Piesa, Sombrero Manila, Strozzi Jewelry, and Woven. They offer a variety of handcrafted bags, jewelry, hats, and other accessories made from natural materials.
For your wellness routine, Pure Culture, Shepard, Soapsuds and Buds, and Yoga Love are the brands to watch out for. They offer personal care products made with natural ingredients and sustainable practices.
Finally, for your home, there are Beyond Borders, Casa Juan, Liwayway, Malingkat Weaves, Millie Monday, Our Little Ideas, Red Slab Pottery, Wix Cozy Homes, and 11th Earth. They offer home decor and accessories that highlight Filipino culture and traditions, often using handwoven textiles and natural materials.
The Filipino Design Studio event, which highlights top-notch craftsmanship and innovative design while promoting positive social impact and sustainability in the Filipino community, opens today and will run until March 17 at the 3rd Level of SM Aura Premier in BGC.
