The Laguindingan Technopark, AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC)’s first Mindanao-based industrial park, welcomed Asiaphil Inc. as its newest locator.
Founded in 1973 and originally known as Asiaphil Manufacturing Industries, Inc., the firm has over 25 domestic locations around the Philippines and five overseas locations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, Hongkong, Singapore and Italy.
Its facility in Laguindingan Technopark marks the company’s first manufacturing site in Mindanao.
Committed to providing world-class power connection solutions to customers, Asiaphil Inc. envisions building a comprehensive infrastructure within the property, including a metal fabrication and painting factory, a staging area for substation construction and a transformer oil testing center.
“Asiaphil is committed to delivering a pleasant experience to our diverse stakeholders, and proximity to our Mindanao customers is crucial to fulfilling this commitment. Our expansion into Laguindingan Technopark is a strategic move, since it offers the ideal environment for our company’s growth and innovation,” said Asiaphil president Victor Batungbacal.
“We are thankful for our collaboration with ALLHC, which ensured our seamless integration into the industrial park. We look forward to contributing to the success of Laguindingan Technopark as we work further along,” said Batungbacal.
ALLHC president and chief executive Robert Lao thanked Asiaphil for choosing Laguindingan Technopark as an integral base for their expanding operations.
“Together, we foster a partnership for progress, contributing to the creation of more employment opportunities and business synergies in Northern Mindanao. Indeed, we, at ALLHC, eagerly look forward to continuing to serve and support Asiaphil in the years to come,” said Lao.
Launch in 2019, Laguindingan Technopark in Barangays Moog and Tubajon in Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental, stands as ALLHC’s inaugural industrial park in Mindanao.
It is seamlessly integrated into Ayala Land’s master-planned mixed-use development, Habini Bay. Encompassing 105 hectares, with Phase 1 covering 62 hectares and holding BOI registration, it is designed to cater to light and medium, non-polluting industries.
It features complete land development, including road networks that were completed in 2023. Positioned strategically behind the Laguindingan Airport and about 36 km from the Cagayan de Oro Port, the technopark enhances its appeal through accessibility from Cagayan de Oro City, the regional center, via the Butuan-Cagayan de Oro-Iligan Road.
