Police have arrested on Saturday three so-called high-value targets and seized P3 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation conducted by the joint drug operatives of Police Region 4-A office in Magano Street, Brgy. Maytalang, Lumban, Laguna.
The suspects were initially identified only as alias Fred, 47, alias Jim 50, and alias Cynthia, 20, all are residents of Lumban, Laguna and listed as high value suspects of the regional police headquarters.
Evidence recovered from the suspects included six pieces transparent sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 550 grams valued at P3.7 million and the buy-bust money.
Police Region 4A director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas lauded the significant accomplishments of the Drug Enforcement Units of PRO 4A during the conduct of the buy-bust operation in Lumban.
He also directed the anti-drug units of PRO 4A to conduct thorough investigation to trace the source of illegal drugs in Lumban.
“I am grateful to our dedicated and hardworking PRO 4A drug operatives for making another milestone in our campaign against illegal drugs.
This remarkable feat deserves recognition. I already directed our anti-drug units to conduct an investigation to trace the source of this enormous quantity of drugs that proliferate not only in Lumban but also in the nearby municipalities.” Lucas said.
