The 2023 Tuason Racing Formula V1 Challenge Series, one of the premiere open-wheel racing series in the country, is set to hold its second round. Fans of motorsport can expect thrilling wheel-to-wheel action from some of the country’s top race car drivers once the Clark International Speedway goes green on October 27-28.
In the PRO Class, points leader Iñigo Anton of Obengers Racing Team, Joaquin Garrido of OTR Motorsport, and Japanese Kazuki Takemura of West Racing Team are expected to duel it all out once again after their thrilling battles during the kickoff leg. Anton captured 2 out of the 3 races in store that weekend, but Garrido showed his pace by taking the final race to cap off the round.
The AM Class is shaping up to be just as exciting, with a mix of experienced veterans and rising stars vying for the top spot. Rainy Medina of Autoholic Garage Racing Team and Oliver Aquino of OTR Motorsports are the frontrunners, but Paolo Ayo of Edgesport, Dondi San Jose of Moh’s Racing, and newcomer Juancho Brobio of Obengers Racing, among others, are ready to challenge them.
With the stakes high and the competition fierce, fans would want to look forward to what’s to unfold come race weekend.
The series will also feature a new tire sponsor this season, GT Radial, with the Champiro SX-R 195/50R15 serving as the official tire for the remainder of the championship.
