The Asian Federation of Electric Vehicle Associations (AFEVA) has announced its support for the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit, to be held from October 19th to 21st in Manila, Philippines. The summit will bring together key stakeholders in the electric vehicle industry, policymakers, innovators, and champions of sustainable transportation to discuss the latest advancements and promote sustainable transportation solutions.
AFEVA President Edmund Araga highlighted the significance of the event, saying it provides an opportunity to reaffirm the organization’s commitment to the advancement of electric mobility in the ASEAN region. He added that AFEVA is excited to continue collaborating with its member associations and partners to promote sustainable transportation solutions.
The summit is expected to be a major milestone in the development of electric mobility in the ASEAN region. The event will provide a forum for key stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities of transitioning to electric vehicles, and to develop strategies for accelerating the adoption of sustainable transportation solutions.
AFEVA has played a pivotal role in fostering collaboration and sharing best practices within the ASEAN region, resulting in substantial advancements in electric mobility. The organization’s member associations include EVAP (Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines), EVAT (Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand), EVAM (Electric Vehicle Association of Malaysia), EVAS (Electric Vehicle Association of Singapore), and Indonesia’s Periklindo. Representatives from Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia will also attend the summit, further strengthening the network of cooperation and collaboration in the region.
AFEVA Director Rommel Juan added that the summit promises to be an invaluable opportunity for the exchange of insights and experiences.
