Caloocan, Napolcom tie up for PLEB consultative meeting

The City Government of Caloocan partnered with the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) and other local government units from Metro Manila in holding the People’s Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) Consultative Meeting on Thursday, October 12 at the Bulwagang Katipunan.
The said consultative meeting aimed to revisit NAPOLCOM Memorandum Circular 2016-002, which provides the rules of procedure in disciplinary and administrative cases against policemen and addresses the concerns surrounding local PLEBs.
City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan expressed his gratitude towards the NAPOLCOM and the representatives of other local boards for their valuable contribution to holding erring law enforcers accountable.
The City Mayor likewise emphasized the significance of a holistic approach in law enforcement, which involves empowering members of the police force to respond to any situation and recognizing their excellent efforts in keeping communities safe, while actively rooting out those that abuse said power.
