MANILA—Local stocks rose Tuesday, tracking the gains on Wall Street and other Asian markets.
The bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index climbed 64.39 points, or 1.04 percent, to close at 6,225, while the broader all-shares index went up 22.22 points to settle at 3,354.62.

Regina Capital Development Corp. head of sales Luis Limlingan said share prices closed higher as traders geared up for window-dressing while awaiting the release of key economic data.
Analysts said the market was hoping that China would provide additional fiscal stimulus to boost the world’s second largest economy.
