Morong officials thank Garcias for 2 major projects

Morong, Bataan officials are thanking the Garcias for the twin major projects in their town.

The groundbreaking of  Morong District Hospital in Brgy. Sabang  was recently held  spearheaded by Senator Joel Villanueva and joined by
Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia, Bataan 3rd District  Congresswoman  Gila Garcia, and local officials. The senator provided the initial fund.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the   construction of the 7th Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) campus also in Sabang was held in
March, this year.

The two projects are located in the same area.

“Nagpapasalamat kaming mga taga  Morong sa pangunguna ni Mayora Cynthia Linao-Estanislao  kasama ang  Sangguniang Bayan sa pangunguna ni Vice Mayor Leila Linao-Munoz sa ating mga pinunong lingkod bayan na sina  Gov. Joet Garcia, Bataan 3rd Congresswoman Gila Garcia, Bataan 2nd  District Congressman Abet Garcia, at Vice Gov. Cris Garcia, sa dalawang malalaking proyekto sa aming bayan ang Morong District Hospital at ang BPSU Morong campus. Napakalaking   tulong nito sa aming mga kababayan”, said Board Member Jorge Estanislao.

Congresswoman Garcia earlier said for the first year P50 million will be spent for the district hospital project and the next year P100
million. For the third year, she said her office will seek another P150 million from sources like the Department of Health and senators.

The lady solon said she pushes for the project to provide accessible and quality healthcare services to local residents.

The three-floor hospital with a 73-bed capacity will provide general medicine, laboratory tests and operating, delivery and support
services. It will rise from 12,421 square meters of land.

Meanwhile, the BPSU campus is seen  to provide opportunities to poor students in Morong to finish college.

The campus will house the College of Agriculture and   be the academic center of agroforestry and tourism in the province, said university
officials.
