TINGOG party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez and Speaker Martin Romualdez on Friday said more people can now avail of government services closer to their homes following the launch of three more Alagang Tingog Center (ATC) in Davao del Norte province.
On Thursday, Tingog expanded its outreach program with the inauguration of separate ATCs in Tagum City and the municipalities of Asuncion and San Isidro. Just a day before, Tingog also formally opened an ATC each in Samal Island, Panabo City, and the municipality of Carmen.
“Consistent with Tingog’s mission to bring forth change, hope, and progress, we are pursuing the mission to reach out to more people, especially those in remote areas, to make it easier for them to avail of government services,” Rep. Romualdez said.
Romualdez, wife of the Speaker, also thanked the concerned local officials for their cooperation and assistance in the establishment of the ATCs in their respective jurisdictions as well as the people of Davao Del Norte for their warm reception.
“Salamat po sa lahat ng ating local officials sa suporta nila ganun din po sa ating mga kababayan sa Davao del Norte sa mainit nilang pagtanggap. Huwag po kayong mag-atubili na pumunta sa ating mga ATC at makakaasa kayo na gagawin namin ang aming makakaya upang maihatid sa inyo ang karampatang serbisyo,” she added.
“With these new ATCs, many of our people in the province of Davao del Norte can enjoy needed government services practically next to their doorstep, sparing them the inconvenience of traveling to urban centers for this purpose. I hope and pray for the success of this endeavor so we can reach out to more people in the future,” the Speaker said. The ribbon-cutting for the additional ATCs in the province was led by Davao del Norte Vice Gov. Oyo Uy and House Deputy Secretary General Ponyong Gabonada.
Uy and Gabonada were joined by Mayor Eufracio Dayaday in the inauguration of the ATC in Asuncion town, while Tagum Mayor Rey Uy attended the formal opening of the new public assistance center in his city.
Following the opening rites, the ATCs commenced operations with the distribution of P2,000 each in financial assistance under the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program.
Some 500 residents of San Isidro received the initial aid under AICS, while 500 beneficiaries from the transport sector received the same assistance in Asuncion.
In Tagum, a total of 1,700 farmers received similar financial subsidies.
Uy and Dayaday also expressed gratitude to Speaker Romualdez and the Tingog party list for bringing government services closer to his people, citing the distribution of financial assistance for members of the transport sector in the municipality of Asuncion.
