The national government continues to extend its efforts towards digitizing government services in the country to make it more accessible to the public.
Thus, the province of Isabela was declared and sealed as the pilot province and digital transformation partner of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in initiating e-governance initiatives in the country.
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) represented by DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy and the Province of Isabela represented by Gov. Rodito Albano III signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 10, 2023 at Sofitel Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City to push for an integrated approach for e-governance systems.
Vice Governor Faustino G. Dy III and DITC UnderSecretary for E-Government David L. Almirol Jr. witnessed the ceremonial signing of MOU.
The MOU stated Isabela’s support as the pilot province and digital renovation partner of DITC in initiating e-governance initiatives in the country.
The flagship programs of DITC involved in this initiative include the implementation and systems development of eGov PH Super App pioneering an integrated public service through a one-stop online platform that promotes more contactless, cashless and paperless transactions across local and national government level in which the component is eLGU, combining the wide range of Local Government System Automation and eServices including permits, contributions, clearances, and payments.
