Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) chairman Rolen Paulino Sr. will deliver his state of the freeport address (SOFA) on March 27, 2023 to highlight the unveiling of a business expo at the Freeport zone.
This year’s SOFA, the 16th of such occasion, will be Paulino’s first as SBMA administrator. The affair will be held at the Subic Bay Exhibit and Convention Center.
It is anticipated by the stakeholders of Subic Bay Freeport Zone and the different sectors and LGUs surrounding the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
The SOFA also marks the annual gathering of stakeholders organized by the Subic Bay Freeport Chamber of Commerce The remarks also serve as an official platform wherein the SBMA chief renders his report and updates to the different stakeholders about the state of businesses inside the facility in terms of economic growth, new investments, policies, accomplishments, future plans, and other matters relevant to the stakeholders.
The SBMA gives to the surrounding local government units their revenue share from the corporate tax every semester which is two percent of the five-percent special tax it collects from business locators in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone; the remaining three percent goes to the national coffer. This upcoming SOFA will be the highlight activity of the two-day event of the SBFCC. A Subic Bay Business Expo will open on March 27 up to March 28, 2023 to feature the different products and services offered by the Subic Bay locators. A business to business (B2B) activity will also be done to create an opportunity to meet business partners, and clients.
