The City Government of Caloocan, led by Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan, was able to provide a total of 43,892 job opportunities from July to December 2022, through its employment programs, emergency employment activities, livelihood grants, and free skills training.
Mayor Along expressed his gratitude to the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) for their utmost dedication in serving the public through provision of opportunities and likewise stated that the programs and services will be persistently implemented to uplift the city and the quality of life of its people.
“Nagpapasalamat po tayo sa buong pusong dedikasyon at pagseserbisyo ng bawat kawani ng PESO sa larangan ng pagbibigay-oportunidad para sa ating mga kababayan,” he said.
“Patuloy po nating isasagawa ang ating mga programa at serbisyo para sa tuloy-tuloy na pagtataas ng kalidad ng pamumuhay ng ating mga mamamayan at pagpapaunlad ng ating lungsod.” the Mayor added.
Meanwhile, PESO Officer-in-charge Ms. Violeta Gonzales stated that they continue to coordinate with companies and establishments to provide more job opportunities. She also enumerated the different programs and activities of the local government, including the skills training, that can help increase trainees’ ability which can be beneficial in making a living.
“Hindi po tayo titigil na makipag-ugnayan sa iba’t ibang kumpanya at mga establisyimento para sa mas marami pang oportunidad at trabaho. Bukod sa ating local recruitment activities, job fairs, Government Internship Program, at Special Program for the Employment of Students, mayroon din tayong TUPAD, livelihood programs at skills training na mas magpapalawak ng kapasidad ng ating mga mamamayan at kanilang mapapakinabangan upang kumita,” Ms. Gonzales said.
According to Mayor Along, the city government will utilize last year’s accomplishment as a basis and inspiration to improve their services this year.
“Sikapin po nating mas dagdagan pa ang ating napagtagumpayan, gawin po natin itong batayan at inspirasyon upang mas pagbatuhin pa ang ating paglilingkod ngayong taon,” he remarked.
