The City Government of Caloocan, led by Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan, received the Gawad Kalasag Seal of Excellence for the
‘Fully Compliant’ rating of the Caloocan Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO).
The said award was conferred by National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), stating that Caloocan City is generally adherent to the standards for the establishment and functionality of the local councils as prescribed in Republic Act no. 10121.
Mayor Along expressed his appreciation to the NDRRMC for the recognition and likewise commended CDRRMO for its efforts to follow through his directives in line with disaster preparedness.
To recall, Mayor Along prioritized the establishment of eight (8) Quick Response Stations across the city and instructed CDRRMO to train its first responders for efficient response time especially during calamities.
Mayor Along added.
