The Basketball Efficiency and Scientific Training Center (BEST Center) kicks off its nationwide Coach Nic Jorge Cup 3×3 basketball tournament Saturday with 12 cities and provinces as hosts.
Organizers honor Jorge, a former Philippine Team coach and national basketball federation official, for his contributions to the growth of the sport, especially for pioneering the children’s basketball clinic that produced many of past and present superstars of the sport.
Action starts at the Xavier University Junior High School Court in Cagayan de Oro. The tournament runs for two days.
The Angeles University Foundation takes its turn on November 6 simultaneous with the tournaments set Nov. 5 and 6 in Valencia City, Bukidnon and Toril, Davao City.
Ozamis City and Zamboanga City tournaments run simultaneously on Nov. 12 and 13; Lucena, General Santos City and Dipolog City will have theirs on Nov. 19 and 20; while Urdaneta in Pangasinan, Mati City in Davao Oriental, and Iligan City in Lanao del Norte kick off theirs on Nov. 26 and 27.
