Korean global superstars BLACKPINK is one of the biggest acts to perform at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 28, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Recently tagged by the Grammys as the “biggest girl group in the world,” the quartet is set to make their U.S award show debut at the VMAs and is expected to perform their upcoming single, “Pink Venom,” for the first time.
Alongside major K-pop stars like BTS and Seventeen, BLACKPINK received a VMAs nomination for Best Metaverse Performance (The Virtual). Meanwhile, Lisa got a nomination for “Lalisa” in the Best K-pop category.
The pre-release single, “Pink Venom,” drops on August 19, followed by the release of the band’s second album, Born Pink, which falls on September 16. In addition, the group will have its most anticipated world tour, which begins in October with a two-day kickstart show in Seoul, South Korea.
BLACKPINK will hold its return show in Manila on March 25, 2023, for the Born Pink concert. Ticket prices and concert venue announcements are yet to happen.
