Heavyweight world champ Bhullar takes shot at Malykhin: I will deliver Anatoly’s head

ONE Heavyweight World Champion “Singh” Arjan Bhullar is back, and he’s ready to protect his throne from anyone who might try to take it, including current interim World Champion Anatoly “Sladkiy” Malykhin

The Russian had been vocal about wanting to face the Indian-Canadian wrestler, though Bhullar noticed that Malykhin has gone quiet.

“Anatoly [Malykhin] has been very vocal, and I will respond to that closer to the fight and in the fight, to be quite honest,” Bhullar told ONEFC.com.

“He hasn’t posted anything since I’ve announced I was back. Check his social media. He hasn’t said a [expletive] thing. That shows you what kind of coward he really is and what he actually thinks of the situation.”

Bhullar won the ONE Heavyweight World Title when he beat erstwhile titleholder Brandon Vera. Then he was sidelined for a bit as he negotiated his contract.

During that span, “Sladkiy” rose to prominence, winning all three of his bouts via finishes, including a second-round KO of Kiril Girishenko for the ONE Interim Heavyweight World Championship.

After that, Malykhin called out Bhullar and even made fun of the American Kickboxing Academy star’s size, something that “Singh” just laughed off.

“I’m not running from anyone or anybody. He’s delusional. And he is short with short arms and legs,” Bhullar said.

“He’s 5-foot-9. My arms and legs and entire body is longer than his, clearly measured. So I don’t know what the hell that guy is talking about. He needs to get his head checked.”

While there isn’t a date scheduled for the two, one thing’s for certain – whoever comes out of this clash might just very well rule the division for a long time.

And for Bhullar, he’s certain that he’s going to be the one standing atop this gigantic mountain when it’s all said and done.

“‘Baddest heavyweight on the planet’? Absolutely, I love that headline. I will deliver and I will deliver Anatoly’s head. You put me on that. I will deliver,” he said.

“A lot of new faces in the division. [It’s] very exciting to see. [I’m] excited to get in there with them. I don’t want to just see them and wait around. I’d like to get in there and face them all. We have new faces, exciting faces.”
