Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio declared more than P216 million of expenditures for her 2022 campaign, based on the Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) submitted to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
The copy of the document has a “received” stamp from the Comelec’s Campaign Finance Office dated June 7.
Based on the SOCE filed before the Comelec, the total expenditures incurred was P216,190,935.06.
It said that most of Duterte’s expenses came from her personal funds and resources, and her campaign contributions were all in-kind and not in cash.
The P216,190,935.06 contributions she received consisted of the in-kind donations from other sources totalling to P79,581,690.15 and the in-kind contributions from her political party, Lakas Christian Muslim Democrats, amounting to P136,609,244.91.
All candidates and electoral parties, both winning and losing, are required to submit SOCE within 30 days after the elections.
Senator Manny Pacquiao meanwhile declared more than P119 million worth of expenditures in his campaign in the May polls. Pacquiao’s SOCE reported that P62 million came from his personal funds.
Outgoing Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso spent P242 million for his campaign, his lawyer said, citing the Moreno’s SOCE.
Pacquiao’s SOCE also indicated that he received P7,750,000 worth of cash contributions, and P48,700,988.02 worth of in-kind contributions, GMA News reported.
Domagoso filed his SOCE through his lawyer Atty. Rizalina Lumbera.
“Mayor Isko received contributions or political campaign donations worth around P241.5 million. His total expenses were about P242.6 million and he had P1.1 million in personal expenses,” Lumbera, in an ABS-CBN report said.
