BI nabs American wanted in US for child abuse

Immigration agents have arrested an American national wanted in the United States for alleged child abuse.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente identified the suspected pedophile as Bradley John Moore, 49, who was reportedly facing aggravated sexual assault of a child, three counts of indecency, and having sexual contact with a child in McKinney, Texas.

Moore was arrested Thursday, in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte by operatives of the Immigration’s Fugitive Search Unit (FSU).

Morente issued the mission order to FSU men after receiving information on the suspect’s criminal case from US authorities in Manila.

“We will send him back to the US immediately for him to face his crimes, after which he will be placed in our blacklist and banned from re-entering the country,” Morente said.

The Immigration chief described Moore as an undesirable alien “whose continued presence here poses a serious threat to Filipino children.”

According to FSU acting chief Rendel Ryan Sy, Moore was already an overstaying alien as records showed that he last arrived in Manila on December 6, 2020.  His passport has been cancelled already by the US government, making him an undocumented alien.

Sy said Moore was wanted to stand trial before a district court in McKinney, Texas which issued warrants for his arrest.

Moore was temporarily detained at the Dapitan City police station prior to his transfer to the BI Warden Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City where he would remain pending his deportation.
