The Office of the Prosecutor of Makati City has dismissed a syndicated estafa case against businessman and Revolution Precrafted chief executive officer Robbie Antonio.
In its resolution dated April 7, the prosecution said there was “no evidence to support a complaint about syndicated estafa.”
Neither was there evidence, according to the resolution, to conclude that Revolution Precrafted committed or performed acts of defraudation and misappropriation.
This is the second case against Antonio to be dismissed after the Makati regional trial court first cleared him of any wrongdoing in November last year.
“Of course, there is a sense of vindication, as we have always maintained that contract disruptions were unavoidable due to the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Antonio said in a statement.
“Now that things are slowly returning to normal, we are currently in the process of studying our operations, and evaluating a pivot of the business plan” he added.
