The country’s biggest and newest P-Pop reality search will be having internationally-renowned dance superstar and choreographer Brian Puspos as its official dance mentor.
The lucky aspirants who will be part of the first batch of trainees in Top Class: The Rise To P-Pop Stardom are going to experience a unique dance lesson from a dancer that has been recognized as “Male Choreographer of the Year” by the world’s largest dance brand and enterprise – World of Dance (in 2012 and 2014).
Brian Puspos is an American dancer of Filipino descent hailing from Houston, Texas, USA. He first gained recognition in the dance scene when his dance crew called SoReal Cru finished as the runner-up in the second season of Randy Jackson’s America’s Best Dance Crew.
In the seventh season, he competed once again but this time with the Mos Wanted Crew, finishing third.
As a choreographer, he has worked with famous acts such as Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, and K-Pop group BTS. He is also an R&B singer, having already released three EPs in 2017 and 2020.
“It means more than anybody could imagine. Although I am from the USA, I am a proud full-blooded Filipino, and I am so honored to be a part of making history and finding the next P-POP stars. To represent dance at such a high level and to be a proud Filipino on a platform like this is a dream come true,” Brian says.
“I have many roles when it comes to dancing, but my most important role is ‘educating.’ I will share everything I know to help them explore dance and their potential,” he adds.
Top Class is a reality show made possible by the collaboration of Filipino entertainment giants Kumu, Cignal Entertainment, TV5, and Cornerstone Entertainment. The show will be hosted by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray. KZ Tandingan, and rap star Shanti Dope, the vocal and rap mentors, respectively, will be joining Brian Puspos to form the faculty of the talent competition.
