MANNY AND NUR. The MNLF Central Committee Senator Manny Pacquiao paid a courtesy call to MNLF chairman Nur Misuari at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati before Misuari’s upcoming trip abroad.

The MNLF said Misuari “remains neutral” in the presidential race.

“Any endorsement of any kind from some members of the MNLF for any particular candidate is personal in nature and does not reflect the endorsement of the Chairman of the MNLF or the organization as an entity,” the MNLF further said.

The political party of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) meanwhile has thrown its support for the presidential bid of Vice President Leni Robredo, a CNN Philippines report said.

The report said officials of the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) —  including Bangsamoro Interim Chief Minister Murad Ebrahim —  made the formal announcement in Camp Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat on Saturday.

This is the first time the MILF is endorsing a presidential candidate for the elections, te report further said, adding that Murad cited how Robredo has consistently supported the advocacies of the Bangsamoro.

“[W]hen we needed allies in Congress, and as Vice President of the Philippines, Leni Robredo was there for us,” Murad said. “She was there for Marawi. She makes time for the Bangsamoro.”
