Navotas has 11 new public schools

Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco and Rep. John Rey Tiangco presided at the blessing and inauguration of 11 four-story public school buildings in the city,.

Each of Tanza National High School, San Roque National High School, San Rafael Technological and Vocational High School, and Navotas Elementary School–Central now have an additional four-story building with 12 classrooms.

San Roque and San Rafael Village Elementary Schools have another building with eight classrooms, while Kapitbahayan Elementary School has 24 additional classrooms.

Meanwhile, Tangos National High School and Tangos Elementary School 1 both have two four-story buildings each with a total of 20 new classrooms.

“Our students have been studying at home for two school years now and we know they are excited to come back and physically attend their classes. We want them to be comfortable and safe while in school,” Mayor Tiangco noted.

Navotas is one of the first school divisions in the country to post 100 percent implementation of the expanded face-to-face classes. All 25 public elementary and secondary schools and one private school in the city have opened for in-person learning.

“Education has always been our priority that is why we see to it that all projects and programs under the education sector continue even amidst the pandemic,” Cong. Tiangco said.
