The religious group El Shaddai on early Saturday evening endorsed the presidential bid of former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and that of his running mate, Lakas-Christian Muslim-Democrats chairperson Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

The Lakas-CMD vice presidential candidate thanked El Shaddai, its leader Mike Velarde, and its millions of members for deciding to support her and Marcos.

“Thank you very much, Brother Mike Velarde, and to the millions of members of El Shaddai. Your support to my vice presidential bid is a big boost to my dream and to my advocacies which I will push if I am elected together with our presidential candidate—Apo Bongbong Marcos,” Duterte-Carpio said.

“We know the challenges ahead are no laughing matter. And if we are chosen by the Filipino people in May, we will face even greater challenges. But I believe there is no challenge we cannot solve for as long as we are united,” she added.

She also vowed to pursue the programs of her father, President Rodrigo Duterte, including the campaign against illegal drugs.

“We want to continue the projects and programs of the Duterte administration,” she said.

Meanwhile, in Cavite, Governor Jonvic Remulla formally endorsed Marcos for president during the UniTeam’s campaign sortie in the province.

“This is really a Marcos country,” Remulla said.

Marcos was in Tanza, Gen. Trias, and Imus, Cavite Friday in a scheduled caravan and campaign sortie.

Remulla also assured that all the local officials in Cavite are fully supportive of the Marcos-Duterte UniTeam.

“Mr. President [Marcos], we promise that Cavite is for you. We are already promising 800,000 plus votes here in Cavite for you. There will be no cost for the BBM campaign here in Cavite, we will take care of all that,” Remulla said.
