Organizers of the B.League are set to call off many games this weekend because of a surge in COVID-19 infections.
According to reports, the entire squad of San-En NeoPhoenix and the Ibaraki Robots are undergoing close monitoring from organizers.
Players have tested positive of COVID-19 and the infections reportedly took place after SanEn faced Ryukyu, and Ibaraki played against Tokyo last weekend.
Thirdy Ravena and the NeoPhoenix are supposed face Hokkaido this weekend, while Javi Gomez de Liaño and the Robots are to clash with Bobby Ray Parks and Nagoya Diamond Dolphins.
Also being monitored are both Mikawa and Kyoto.
The Mikawa Seahorses’ match against Kiefer Ravena’s Shiga Lakestars this weekend could also get postponed because of the COVID-19 cases.
On the other hand, Kobe Paras and Niigata are waiting for the results of their weekend opponent’s Osaka after two Evessa players have tested positive for COVID-19.
