Parks helps Dolphins get 18th win in B.League

Filipino import Bobby Ray Parks Jr. and four other teammates gave the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins a good start for the year 2022.

With Parks firing 15 points, the Diamond Dolphins held off Shimane Susanoo Magic, 91-76, recently at the Matsue City Gymnasium.

Scott Eatherton led with 21 for the Diamond Dolphins, who held on tight to no. 2 spot in the West District standings of the 2021-2022 B.League in Japan.

Takumi Saito and Coty Clarke added 14 apiece for the Diamond Dolphins, who earned their ninth straight win and 18th overall in 25 outings.

The Diamond Dolphins, with Shayne Whittington making 11 points, are behind the solo leading Ryukyu, which has a 21-3 card in the solo lead.

The Magic, with Reid Travis shooting 21 points, now have a 17-8 slate, and already in the quarterfinal round with Ryukyu and Nagoya.

The trio of Parks, Saito and Eatherton struck hardest in the last 4:48, leading a 13-5 blast which gave Nagoya control with their 78-68 advantage.

Last Wednesday, Nagoya blasted Osaka, 108-84.
