Caloocan City Mayor Oscar Malapitan has congratulated 24 new Certified Public Accountants from the University of Caloocan City who passed the examination given this year, as he gave them cash gifts for their efforts.
Among those receiving gifts was Ronald Allan Macasero, who was in joint fifth overall with a grade of 89.17 percent in the October 2019 CPA exam.
“We are very grateful for the overwhelming support of our parents, teachers and the university headed by our mayor,” Macasero said.
Macasero graduated Magna Cum Laude and was Class Valedictorian of the UCC graduates last March.
At the same time, UCC was declared the Top 9 Performing School (with at least 50 examinees), getting a passing rate of 33.33%.
“We are happy because we have seen our students are triumphant and being the first in their fields of endeavor. The city government of Caloocan will always be supportive of a quality education,” the mayor said.
