Twenty-one aspirants beat Friday’s deadline for joining the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft.
In all, a total of 71 candidates made themselves available in the pool considered by observers as talent rich.
The 2019 PBA Rookie Draft will be held on Dec. 8 at the Robinson’s Place Manila in Ermita.
Among the prospective first round picks are 6’8” Ateneo slotman Isaac Go and teammates Adrian Wong, Vince Tolentino and twins Matt and Mark Nieto.
Another Blue Eagle, Aaron Black, son of multi-titled Meralco coach Norman, San Sebastian shooting marksman Allyn Bulanadi, Adamson’s Sean Manganti, and Twin brothers Jayvee and Jaycee Marcelino of Lyceum, William McAloney of EAC, PCU’s Michael Ayonanyon and UE’s Rey Suerte are also among the bright choices for first round pick.
Applicants have until 5 p.m. of Saturday to withdraw.
PBA coaches will get a glimpse of what these rookie aspirants can put on the floor during the two-day Draft Combine on Dec. 4 and 5 at the Hoops Center in Mandaluyong.
