Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan promises to give Denice “The Menace Fairtex” Zamboanga a warm welcome to ONE Championship.
Radzuan hosts the debuting Filipina in her own backyard for ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The 20-year-old Malaysian looks to make it two in a row before the year ends, excited to take on an unbeaten athlete who made a stir before signing to the largest martial arts organization in the world.
“I was happy with the choice. As you can see, she is quite a decent fighter. So, I’ve got no issues going up against someone like her,” Radzuan said.
“I think it is a very even match too, she’s undefeated while I’m protecting my 5-1 record.”
The Ultimate MMA Academy standout’s lone loss came from Gina “Conviction” Iniong earlier this year, and she has no plans of going through that again.
Though “Shadow Cat” admits she is still scouting out her opponent, she already has a grasp of what to expect from Zamboanga.
“The Menace Fairtex” has a high finishing rate, ending all but one of her wins, and two of those coming by submission. That is why Radzuan is sharpening every facet of her game heading into the contest.
“I don't really know much about her. I've never heard about her, or never watched any of her fights while she was younger,” Radzuan said.
“Only recently, I’ve studied her fights, and I think she’s kind of a grappler. However, she is a good striker too. She is a tricky opponent. She has a few fight videos showcasing her striking, while some of the others exhibited her qualities as a grappler.”
With the two young women looking to make a dent in the ONE Atomweight division, Radzuan urges fans to tune-in for what she expects to be a competitive contest.
“I believe we will bring out the best of each other. We are both young, skillful, and are aiming for something in our careers. Fans definitely wouldn’t want to miss our fight!”
For one last time this year, ONE Championship returns to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS at the Axiata Arena on 6 December.
