Screen star Kathryn Bernardo is both happy and proud that her latest movie Hello Love, Goodbye opposite Alden Richards is nominated in the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts as Best Asian Film.
In a recent interview, the 23-year-old actress said she got surprised upon learning about it.
“It’s overwhelming considering that we’re competing with other countries like Japan, China, India and South Korea. I’m so glad that we made it to the list. As a Filipino, it makes me feel proud that our movie has reached this far. Imagine, figuring prominently in an international film festival?” she says.
Kathryn believes that to be nominated is already a major achievement.
“I’m okay with that. Let’s hope for the best though,” she adds.
The list of winners will get released on Dec. 4 and this early, Kathryn is so thrilled with this development.
Meanwhile, after doing the the successful movie with Alden, Kathryn still hopes that she would be paired with Daniel Padilla again in another movie.
“I miss working with Daniel. I hope we’ll have a new film in 2020. Let’s see what will happen. I don’t want to be selfish with DJ. There are still a lot of actresses who can get paired with him. But for now, I just want to enjoy the moment,” she enthuses.
Kathryn wants to assure the fans though that she is set to do a soap opera with Daniel next year. Their last show together was the hit horror-fantasy series La Luna Sangre in 2017.
“They will start to pitch in stories before we leave for the States. Of course, we’re super excited with our reunion project. Viewers should watch out for this. For sure, we’ll be giving them another quality teleserye which is worth their time,” she assures.
Daniel will be doing a movie without her. He will get paired with another actress.
“Oh, yes! I’m excited for him. Now, it’s my turn to support him. I’m really praying that everything will turn out well,” ends Kathryn.
