Following the successful Panagdadapun Festival 2019 in Quirino province, Gov. Dakila “Dax” Cua recently announced that he is eyeing to boost the province’s tourism to spur its economic growth.
Cua, a former three-term House representative of the Lone District of Quirino, stressed that economic growth will be clinched by the province if they beef up their tourism sector, which the residents of the province welcomed.
“It will help provide high potential support to our job creation,” said Cua.
The Quirino governor ran unopposed in the May 2019 elections after introducing the multisectoral organization “Trabaho at Oportunidad (TAO)” program to the province, which aims to uplift the standards of living of Filipinos by providing training, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Cua added that it will tie-up with various groups for the successful implementation of the tourism program.
“TAO aims to bring people to the business sector. Those looking for jobs, schools looking to train people, we’ll bring them to one venue to hasten their dealings and help our provincemates to gain opportunities,” said Cua, who had chaired the House Committee in Ways and Means in his previous Congressional stint.
