Actor and YesPinoy Foundation Inc. (YPF) Chairman Dingdong Dantes celebrated YPF’s 10th anniversary together with some students, teachers, and volunteers at Cubao Elementary School last Tuesday, Aug. 21.
Recently, Dingdong’s chaired organization YPF, in partnership with the Stunt Association of the Philippines and the Seoul Action School-Korea, convened together all stunt actors and directors in the country for a series of extensive training and seminars entitled “Project #BeScene.”
The stunt action training activities concluded with a graduation ceremony and exhibition program for the participants last July 21 at GMA Network Studio 4.
The Amazing Earth host expressed his will to empower everyone in building a better tomorrow, “When we strive to be heroes by empowering not only ourselves, but also our families, communities, and others in need, we, especially the youth, help build a Super Nation.”
Ten years ago, Dingdong put up YPF in hopes of bridging resource gaps in education and empowering the Filipino youth on environmental stewardship and responsible citizenship.
“YPF started with our simple yearning to contribute and be of service to the country by educating, empowering and engaging the Filipino youth…through the years, we have witnessed how heroism uplifts lives and communities,” said Dantes during his speech.
The whole-day event gathered the Foundation’s family, friends and fellow advocates to pay tribute to its accomplishments that are made possible through passion, collaboration, and volunteerism.
At present, Dingdong has undergone military training as part of his preparations for the iconic role of “Big Boss” or Captain Lucas Manalo in GMA’s highly-anticipated Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean drama series, Descendants of the Sun.
