Olongapo City”•JCI Olongapo and the Department of Trade and Industry in Zambales have signed a partnership agreement to promote local products.
The agreement is for the “Go Lokal, Go Global Campaign” that advocates local products, particularly those produced by micro, small and medium enterprises.
JCI Olongapo will showcase local products during their regular membership meetings and their regional and area conferences, giving the products greater exposure to other markets.
DTI-Zambales will provide business mentoring support to local entrepreneurs endorsed by JCI Olongapo, including those from the adopted Aeta communities.
“This underscores our belief that Filipino products are world-class. As a global organization of young leaders, it brings us pride to showcase our countrymen’s ingenuity to our friends from other countries-our simple way of helping the local economy,” said JCI Olongapo president Jason Gavina during the signing event last Thursday.
JCI Olongapo, the local arm of the Junior Chamber International, was established in 1958 and has been a training ground of young active citizens and leaders in the community.
