The Philippine Drug Enforcement Authority has announced the arrest of a Nigerian national and four others in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City with the confiscation of P8.1 million worth of shabu.
Director general Aaron Aquino identified the suspects as Ifeanyi Augustine Chinwueba, a Nigerian; Jamal Sumangan Landau; Karen Christine Mallari; Amrodin Hadji Hassan Hadji Noor, and Rodin Hadji Noor.
Last July 31 at 10:30 p.m., PDEA operatives, along with the Quezon City Police District cops, arrested the suspects in a buy-bust in front of McDonalds restaurant on Muňoz, Epifanio delos Santos Avenue corner Congressional Avenue.
Aquino said authorities were able to seize 1,200 grams of shabu worth P8,160,000, four mobile phones, one Toyota Altis and the buy-bust money.
PDEA has filed charges of violation of Section 5 (Sale of Illegal Drugs), and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against the suspects.
