The long wait is over as the “Be Joyful” Lee Sung Kyoung 1st Fanmeet in Manila finally happened on July 27 at the SM Skydome in Quezon City.
Everyone was excited for the first fanmeet. Even Kapamilya actor Alex Diaz, who also hosted the event, couldn’t help but post a Tweet about her visit: “Swaggg!!! Annyeong PH Fairies!! I’m just as excited as all of you to be hosting Lee Sung Kyoung’s PH FAN MEET! gahhh!! I’ll see you all there!”
After winning the hearts of her Filipino fans in the show Weightlifting Fairy Kim Book Joo, she captured everyone’s hearts this time with her angelic voice as she shares her other passion—singing.
Recently, she caught the attention of Philippines’ Broadway Diva and international performer Lea Salonga for her cover of the Aladdin theme song, “A Whole New World,” which Lea originally sang in the animated film.
In previous years, Lee Sung Kyoung did several collaborations including “I Love You” in 2013 with The Papers; “My Lips Like Warm Coffee” in 2016 with Eddy Kim; and “Last Scene” in 2017 with Psy. Until in 2018, she went solo with her hits “My Only One Person”, “I am What I am” and “Tomorrow Will be a Better Day.”
