Raquepo said Kim, who hid in the country for almost a year, was already an undocumented alien due to the cancellation of his passport by the Korean government.

A Korean court issued an arrest warrant against Kim who is also the subject of a red notice from Interpol.

Kim is wanted for swindling his victim of nearly 129 million won from 2013 to 2015 which he borrowed by falsely claiming he needed the money to finish a film that he was directing.

He was also accused of defrauding the said victim last year of more than 107 million won by enticing the latter to invest in a corporate business.

Investigation revealed that Kim fled to Manila on Aug. 5 last year and has not left the country since then.
