Fast food chain Popeyes, known for its New Orleans-style spicy chicken, brings to Manila the taste of Louisiana with the opening of its first restaurant at ArcoVia City in Pasig.
The hip and vibrant restaurant serves Popeyes’ famous biscuits, Cajun fries, and the world-famous Popeyes fried chicken. This signature fried chicken that’s juicy not greasy, is made fresh daily and packed with distinct Cajun-inspired flavors from Louisiana, USA.
Founded in New Orleans in 1972, Popeyes’ passion for its Louisiana heritage and flavorful authentic food has allowed it to become one of the world’s largest chicken quick service restaurants with over 3,000 restaurants in the U.S. and around the world.
Kuya J Group brings the beloved quick service restaurant brand to the country.
“In the US, Hollywood stars and celebrity chefs constantly rave about Popeyes and we’re thrilled to bring this world-famous brand to the Philippines,” said Lowell Yu, chairman of Kuya J Group.
The ArcoVia branch features the new global look of Popeyes
“Aside from being the first restaurant to feature the new global look of Popeyes, we take pride in introducing new menu items that will eventually be rolled out to other Popeyes restaurants worldwide,” added Yu.
Popeyes serves its bestselling original honey biscuits, Cajun fries, chicken, and chicken tenders to customers in the Philippines. The first Manila branch is taking the Popeyes experience up a notch with new treats, including hazelnut and white chocolate biscuits, two delightful flavors which can be paired with fried chicken or can be served as dessert; and Popeyes Spaghetti, a sweet, meaty meal that’s exclusive to the Philippines.
“We are excited for Filipinos to be the first to experience the world’s newest Popeyes restaurant,” enthused Sami Siddiqui, regional president of Restaurant Brands International, Asia Pacific. “And we look forward to serving more Filipinos and growing our iconic Popeyes brand in the Philippines with our strong local partner—the Kuya J Group.”
