The primetime drama, Halik, is down to its last episodes, which is why viewers can expect more intense confrontations and clapbacks among the main characters Lino (Jericho Rosales), Jade (Yam Concepcion), Jacky (Yen Santos), and Ace (Sam Milby) as they face their toughest battle yet to claim their desired love.
While the top rating TV series is bidding television goodbye, members of the press present at the finale media conference of Halik were startled when Jericho said that he no longer wants to do any TV series anymore.
“I’ve been working for soap operas or TV shows for 23 years now. I don’t want to do soaps anymore, and it is not a problem for me,” the seasoned actor started.
“Do I want to stop TV? No. It’s time for me to challenge myself to create something new for myself. Hopefully, it works. I have to take a break, I have to do movies then come up with another TV show of a different kind. Will I say goodbye to the fans? No. Will I say goodbye to the one I love the most, acting? No,” he immediately clarified.
Meanwhile, viewers are in for more infuriating scenes as Jade and Ace put all their schemes to work to escape from the authorities and take baby CJ away from Lino. But, Lino will do everything to reunite with his son and make sure his enemies will rot in jail while having Jacky by his side, who vows to support him until the end.
But just as they thought things could not get any worse, Jade and Jacky’s lives will be put in danger, which will cause a major shift in Lino’s fight for justice. Despite the possibility of lives being lost with his vicious tactics, Ace will continue with his plans of revenge against Lino whom he thinks made his life miserable.
Popular show
Undeniably one of the most-talked-about series in 2018 and 2019, Halik has built a strong fan base that made it a top-trending topic almost every night. It is also a favorite subject among Facebook pages and memes with its “nakaka-gigil” scenes that are popular among netizens.
The series also shared valuable lessons to audiences nationwide. Lino impressed viewers with his dedication in doing what is right and just, even if it would mean giving up his own happiness. Jacky, on the other hand, was noted for her bravery as she proved that women are also capable of defending themselves against powerful men.
Despite her bad reputation, Jade is a doting mother to her child and is willing to sacrifice even her own life just to make sure her baby is safe.
“Actually, ang sarap ng feeling na nagagalit sila sa akin yung viewers. It means I’m effective in doing my job. But I must admit that at first, nasasaktan ako, kasi tao rin lang naman ako. But I realized hindi naman sila sa’kin nagagalit kundi kay Jade. I am just playing a character and, sa totoo lang, I like her, kasi she’s just human. I can relate with her insecurities and flaws. In the end, she’s really a fighter and I can accept her victories and defeats,” Yam said of her character, which is one of the most talked about TV series characters on the internet today.
Just like Yam’s character, the series is also a hit on digital platforms. On iWant for instance, it remained as the most-watched show on the ABS-CBN streaming service last March. It has also conquered the African territory now that it reached Tanzania and has been airing since February.

ER Ejercito detests fake news
Actor and former Laguna governor Emilio Ramon “ER” Ejercito may still run even after the Sandiganbayan’s Fourth Division convicted him of graft in connection with a supposed insurance deal.
In a recent press conference, Ejercito’s lawyer, Larry Gadon, said that the actor-turned-politician can run for governor of Laguna this 2019.
“He is not disqualified to run because the decision of the Sandiganbayan is not final and executory,” Gadon told the press.
Meanwhile, embattled Ejercito described his conviction as “political harassment” and “an old case.”
“My opponents are now using this to create a public impression that I am disqualified, that I am already in jail,” said Ejercito. “It’s fake news.”
