Playoff day every on ABS-CBN S+A

Filipino hoop fans can witness the journey to greatness of NBA's rising stars led by Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo, Denver’s Nikola Jokic, and Orlando’s Aaron Gordon as they set out to show they can play with the big guns in the NBA Playoffs, which kicked off on ABS-CBN S+A last Sunday (April 14).

As the stakes rise higher with the Larry O’Brien trophy up for grabs, ABS-CBN Sports’ coverage of the NBA on S+A will be just as intense with a playoff game airing daily, with the exception of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Black Saturday.

Denver-San Antonio opened the festivities with a nail-biter that saw Jokic notch a rare triple-double in his playoff debut albeit in a loss, followed by a masterclass by James Harden and the rest of Houston against Utah led by its young star duo of Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell yesterday (April 15).

Tomorrow (April 16), reigning NBA Champions Golden State Warriors take on the Los Angeles Clippers at the Oracle Arena for Game 2 of their first round series LIVE at 10:30 am, as part of their quest for a three-peat. Steph Curry recently added another feat to solidify his claim as NBA’s greatest shooter ever by breaking Ray Allen’s record of three points shots made in the playoffs in the Warriors 121-104 rout of the Clippers in Game 1.

Meanwhile, before the Holy Week break starts, fans will be treated to an Eastern Conference spectacle between the second-seeded Toronto Raptors and the Orlando Magic on Wednesday (April 17) LIVE on S+A at 8 am. The Magic, who were bannered by Gordon during the regular season with big man Nikola Vucevic, pulled off an upset against the Kawhi Leonard-led squad thanks to DJ Augustin who scored 25 points, including the game winning three, to open their series.

To celebrate Easter Sunday (April 21), S+A is bringing the action from Houston, Texas LIVE at 10:30 am for Game 3 between the Rockets and the Jazz. It will be followed by the Portland-Oklahoma City grind on Monday (April 22), also LIVE on S+A at 9:30 am for an all-out battle between two of the leading point guards in the NBA today in Russell Westbrook and Damian Lillard.

Lastly, league-leading Milwaukee Bucks get a crack at taking a commanding 2-0 lead over the eight-seeded and Blake Griffin-less Detroit Pistons, who they ran out of the building in Game 1, 121-86, thanks to Antetokounmpo’s huge double-double of 24 points and 17 rebounds. Game 4 is set on Tuesday (April 23) LIVE on S+A at 8 am. Stay tuned for the schedule of games for the rest of April.

Don’t miss out on the exciting NBA Playoffs on S+A featuring NBA’s future hall of famers and up and coming stars.
