TV personality and events host Marc Nelson is what one would consider these days as a ‘multi-hyphenate’ personality. Apart from his work in front of the camera as a model and reality show star, Marc is also, unbeknownst to many, a supporter of numerous advocacies and causes.
From caring for orphans and disadvantaged kids, to promoting disaster preparedness and resiliency, environmental issues are also very close to his heart, leading to his being named as celebrity ambassador of the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF), a global organization.
It is because of these qualities and more that Marc was chosen as the newest brand ambassador of Landlite Philippines Corporation (LPC), a leading distributor of lighting fixtures and solutions in the country, and a recognized pioneer in LED lighting. Some of the brands exclusively distributed by LPC are Landlite, Faro and Uozu.
“I’m very honored to be part of the Landlite family,” says Marc. ”Landlite and I have a lot of very similar directions in life, as well as sharing in similar ideas and viewpoints.”
Specifically, Marc did not hesitate to accept the offer to be LPC’s brand ambassador because of Landlite’s thrust towards sustainable and eco-friendly light products, best represented by their extensive line of LED lighting solutions. After all, the company is credited with bringing in LED lighting technologies to the country, which allows for lower energy consumption and are longer lasting compared to regular bulbs.
“As a brand they are very conscious of the environment and of the community,” Marc relates. “I believe in what they do and what they stand for. I’m really after efficiency and practicality without sacrificing aesthetics. So Landlite’s decorative lightings plus LED bulbs are for me.”
Apart from helping spread the word on the value and importance of environmentally-friendly lighting through Landlite’s products, Marc, together with LPC CEO Jocelyn Li, are also collaborating on a number of environmental-related initiatives. One of the projects they did was to help provide clean water supply for the people of Paly Island in Palawan.
“From the moment we got Marc to host our event for the opening of our Lux Décor showroom in 2018, we already knew he was the perfect fit to be our ambassador,” LPC executive says. “We really couldn’t have chosen a better partner.””‹
