Clark Freeport”•Business aviation service provider Metrojet Limited is building a world-class facility on a 26,000-square-meter lot of the Clark aviation complex as its Asia-Pacific hub, a top executive said Wednesday.
The state-of-the-art hangar, to be used as parking and maintenance facility, can accommodate 10 long-range business jets once completed and fully operational by the first quarter of 2020.
The Hong Kong-based business aviation provider described Clark as a jewel in the aviation industry given its strategic location and availability of resources including manpower.
“In Clark, which will be our main hub in Asia, I promise you this will be the nicest and busiest hub in the entire Asia,” said Metrojet Ltd. chief executive Gary Dolski said during the ceremonial ground breaking for the project.
Dolski said the project would generate employment from “within the surrounding communities”.
“All our employees will be from here as we are going to hire locally so that we can bring back home Filipino workers abroad and reunited with their families. I have worked with many Filipinos. They are very talented and skilled,” Dolski said.
