The investigation into the deaths of Richard Santillan and a woman companion may yet open a can of worms as gruesome as their “double murder” in the hands of policemen.
Former congressman Glenn Chong says the case can prove the truth behind the massive cheating in the automated national elections orchestrated by the Commission on Elections and Smartmatic.
The proof of widespread election irregularities are exactly the damaging truth that the murder brains wanted to keep concealed, according to Chong.
Santillan, who was Chong’s aide, was gunned down along with the woman while riding a Toyota Fortuner in an alleged “encounter” with members of the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group and local policemen in Cainta City last December 10.
The election reform lawyer and former Biliran congressman strongly belied police claims that Santillan was engaged in highway robbery, gunrunning and illegal drugs trafficking.
Police reports say the PNP-HPG men and the Cainta policemen were conducting a spot-operations in the area when they spotted the “unregistered vehicle.”
Instead of stopping the vehicle, police say Santillan sped off and a “firefight” ensued.
Chong refutes the “scripted police encounter story” which identified the two victims as members of “Highway Boys”–a criminal gang operating in Region 4A.
Chong described as “fake news” the purveyed by PNP Region 4A, under Chief Supt. Edward Carranza, and the PNP-HPG, under Chief Supt. Roberto Fajardo, saying the matrix presented to the media was easy to make.
“Kahit sinong college student puwedeng gumawa ng matrix na ganyan,” said Chong.
Chong said he believes he was the real target instead of Santillan in the wake of his expose on the massive cheating the in 2016 elections by some officials of the Comelec and the Smartmatic to favor certain candidates of the Liberal Party (LP), particularly Leni Robredo.
In my one-on-one interview with Chong (which will be aired Saturday afternoon on Facebook and YouTube), he said it would’ve been too obvious if they killed him following his election fraud expose before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
Based on the autopsy conducted by the forensic team of the Public Attorney’s Office on the cadaver, it appears that Santillan was tortured before he was “executed” as shown by wounds and missing toenails.
Chong says the murder of his aide is a death threat against him coming from those affected by his expose wanting him to keep his mouth shut once and for all.
The former solon also links the “yellows” to the death of Santillan because the two ranking PNP officials in Region 4A and the HPG have close ties to the Aquino administration.
In a recent Rotary Club gathering, former PNP Chief Ronald dela Rosa divulged that Carranza used to work under General Marcelo Garbo. Garbo was implicated by President Duterte in his narco-list last year.
Garbo is a trusted aide of former DILG secretary Mar Roxas. Aside from being a loyal subordinate to Gen. Garbo, Carranza is a classmate of PNP Chief Director-General Oscar Albayalde in the Philippine Military Academy.
HPG chief Fajardo was the chief of police of Naga City, Camarines Sur when deceased DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo was still the mayor of that city, according to Chong.
Gen. Fajardo was the chief of the Northern Police District (NPD) when Kian delos Santos was summarily executed by three Caloocan City policemen in a staged drug raid.
I agree with Atty. Chong that his aide was brutally murdered by those who benefitted during the last election.
Also, can we still count on our police whose sworn duty is “to protect and to serve” the populace?
