The wait is almost over and we can almost smell the all-natural Angus beef burger and Vienna beef dogs as Shake Shack announces the location of its first Philippine store.
So where is it gonna be?
Manila’s first-ever Shake Shack is slated to open early next year at Central Square, on the corner of C1 Park and 5th Avenue, in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Shake Shack said in a statement construction will kick off with two murals, inspired by the spirit and landscape of Metro Manila, by local street artist Jappy Agoncillo who is known for his urban art around the metro.
The first mural, found on the store facade along 5th Avenue “used real life monuments and buildings, each from some of the major cities that make up Metro Manila, as inspiration,” says Agoncillo. The second, displayed inside Central Square, is inspired by Manila’s distinct rooftop scenery. Neon in the daytime and glowing at night, the murals are the first pieces of Filipino art to join Shack’s creative community.
While construction progresses, an installation featuring the iconic ShackBurger bag will appear in various locations around the BGC neighborhood.
Shake Shack is known for its 100 percent all-natural Angus beef burgers, griddled flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, crispy crinkle-cut fries, craft beer, wine and more.
